Giving constructive feedback or evaluations is at the heart of the Toastmasters educational program. If you truly want to improve your speaking and leadership skills, you must learn how to give and receive helpful evaluations.
On January 30, 2018, Podium Toastmasters will be hosting a workshop specifically designed to improve your evaluation skills. Everyone is welcome; it is not necessary to be a member to attend.
Public parking is available at the premises.
Podium Toastmasters is one of the longest standing Toastmasters clubs in GTA area. The evaluation workshop is one of many special events Podium members host to celebrate her 60th anniversary. Podium’s most senior member Gordon Wilson, the winner of District 60 Evaluation Contest in 2009, will lead the workshop to demonstrate how to practice effective evaluation and prepare members for the upcoming evaluation contest.
This interactive speech evaluation workshop will:
Demonstrate how to practice speech evaluations that will produce excellent results.
Allow new / newer toastmaster to practice informal speech evaluations.
Allow new / newer toastmaster to build confidence rapidly.
Prepare new/ newer toastmaster to be prepared to present a formal speech evaluation in four/six weeks.
Prepare club leaders/mentors to use the technique at their home clubs.
