We held the first Marketing Bootcamp for this year on August 19th and I’d like to thank everyone who participated both as attendees as a presenters.
I believe one of the things that makes us successful as Toastmasters is our passion for what we do, and this certainly came out this weekend.
Thank you to my team, Marilyn Latchford, Daniele Thibodeau and Michelle Warren, for presenting workshops associated with the key roles you will all play this year. Marilyn talked about creating new cubs and the role of Sponsor. Daniele taught folks the finer elements of being a great new club Mentor. Michelle inspired her group to delve into the world of helping struggling clubs become stronger through the club coach program.
Thank you also to the three other presenters who helped us learn how to make our clubs stronger and more vibrant. Victor Marius shared tips on how to attract guests. Ron Tsang shared insights on how to convert guests to members. Nichole Samuels inspired us to keep our members engaged.
Thanks again to everyone who attended, and please remember, if you attended any of the afternoon workshops, we are collecting feedback online via SurveyMonkey.
We will likely be conducting another marketing bootcamp in February and I’d love to know what topics would be of most interest to you. What would you like to learn about? Remember, skills we learn in Toastmasters to market our organization and our clubs can also help us in our careers. Use these same strategies to gain buy-in to your ideas at work, to motivate your team to achieve a great vision, and to inspire your kids to clean their rooms.
Okay, maybe the last one is stretching it a bit, but you get my point.
See you next time.
