Beat the Clock is a great motivator for finishing the year with record numbers! District 60 is enhancing Toastmasters International Beat the Clock campaign by offering special incentives for Clubs and Divisions to finish the year strong.
The original ‘Beat the Clock’ campaign
Add five new, dual or reinstated members to your club with a join date between May 1 and June 30, and receive a “Beat the Clock” ribbon to display on the club’s banner. Qualifying clubs also earn a special discount code for 10-percent off their next club order. (The discount code expires six months from the date of issue and is not valid with any other offer.)
Club incentive
Virtual Ticket – 2019 World Championship of Public Speaking
Plan a party with your club to watch the 2019 World Championships of Public Speaking either live on August 24 or On Demand! Hold a special World Championship event at your meeting place or after work, host it at a member’s home, or even at your favourite restaurant. Why not distribute judging ballots so members can select their top three speakers before the winners are announced? A World Championship On Demand party is the next best thing to attending the convention in Denver, Colorado.
Awarded to clubs that achieve Distinguished status PLUS Toastmasters International original ‘Beat the Clock’ requirements – add five new, dual or reinstated members to your club with a join date between May 1 and June 30. May not be combined with any other prize offered by District 60.
Division competition
Win a timing light for your club!
Designed by a Toastmaster, the AirTimer Timing Light may be set using one of ten pre-programmed speech times, including the Ice Breaker, speeches of various lengths, evaluations and Table Topics. The light on the front will automatically change from green, to yellow, to red, based on how much time the speaker has left. This easy-to-use timing light simplifies the timer role in your club. You can also practice speeches and presentations at home without having to constantly look at a clock or phone! Battery operated and compact in size.
One prize per Division. Awarded to one club in each Division that achieves Distinguished status PLUS adds the greatest number of new, dual or reinstated members with a join date between May 1 and June 30. May not be combined with any other prize offered by District 60. In the event of a tie, a draw will determine the winner.
