Hello Fellow Toastmasters,
My name is Kerry Singer, CC and I am most honoured to be running as a Nominated Candidate for the role of Division H Director in District 60.
Toastmasters has been a wonderful, special journey for me. I initially joined in 2016, and several months after that, I and a few others chartered a new club, Project Managers United Toastmasters, of which I am still a proud member. I have been on the club executive since its inception and served as both the Treasurer and Sergeant at Arms.
In 2019, I was given the opportunity to take my involvement it to the next level and took on the Area Director Role for H72. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with such a great group of clubs comprised of some very accomplished speakers and leaders. I have learned a lot from them, and I have helped clubs be successful and meet their goals and objectives.
With respect to my personal Toastmasters journey, I am proud to have completed my CC in December 2019. I have also started my Pathways journey and completed my ice breaker speech.
I view taking on the Division Director role as an opportunity to give back to an organization that has given me a great deal. When I joined Toastmasters, people who I did not know supported and coached me to improve my speaking and leadership skills. It would mean a great deal to me to contribute my experience and insights so that others may succeed.
In real life, I am a project manager working for a large international corporation. My career in project management equips me for the Division Director role, as I am very comfortable dealing and interacting with people who may have different experiences, expertise, and interests. My approach for Toastmasters is like my projects — do what it takes to get the job done!
It would be a pleasure to serve as Division H Division Director for 2020 – 21 Toastmaster Year. Let the journey continue. I ask for your support on April 18, 2020.
Thanks,
Kerry Singer
