Congrats (and thanks!) to District 60’s first Club Advocate – Shubha Amba
What is a Club Advocate?
Similar to a club coach, an Advocate helps clubs that are below charter strength (20 members) but are not eligible for a Club Coach because they have more than 12 members.
We want all clubs in District 60 to be strong and viable, so we have created a program called “Club Advocate” to help those clubs that have 13-19 members. This is a pivotal point in the life of a club, and with a little help, they can regain their former glory. Helping them do that is the job of the Club Advocate.
Shubha is District 60’s first ever Club Advocate. While the role of Advocate is not officially recognized for education credit by Toastmasters International, she has chosen to use this role as a High Performance Leadership project.
Shubha has put together an incredible team to help a struggling club, Toasters@ADP, and with the help of her HPL Guidance Committee, will use this opportunity to strengthen her leadership skills.
Thank you Shubha for stepping up as our inaugural Club Advocate, and we wish you the very best in your efforts.
