“Bring them back home”
2022 Membership growth campaign until June 30, 2022
When was the last time you contacted your past members? Did you:
- personally invite them back to your meetings?
- remind them of the many Toastmasters benefits?
- tell them how much they are being missed?
Wouldn’t it be wonderful for them to be active members again? Club VPs of Membership who succeed in bringing back one or more past members will receive a copy of one of 3 e-books of their choice for every past member that they reinstate, along with the enthusiasm award ribbon. If 5 or more members are reinstated, the VP Membership will also be added to a raffle for each re-instated past member for the chance of winning a US$100 TI gift certificate.

“Be My Guest – Join My Club”
2022 Membership growth campaign until June 30, 2022
Do you recall why you joined Toastmasters? Do you remember the person who made a difference in your life by asking you to join a club? Do you realise how much you have learned and grown since then? Would you like to make the same special difference in someone else’s life? Bring friends as guests* to your meetings and let them see for themselves the many values and benefits that they can gain when they join this unique global organization. This campaign will run in two phases:
Members who bring a guest and convert them into a member by June 30 will be able to choose an e-book of their choice from the following four authors (incentives must be claimed by July 25, 2022): Ross Mackay: “Humour is no laughing matter” Phil Tasci: “Speak Like a Pro: Everything you need to know to survive your next speaking gig” Ron Tsang: “From presentation to standing ovation” and receive an “Enthusiasm Award” ribbon.

Challenge: “Charter a New Club”
Any member who provides a lead AND acts as a club sponsor to the successful chartering of a new club in District 60 by June 30, 2022 will receive $10o (US Dollars) in TI Gift cards and a Toastmasters water bottle. A club sponsor works with the club champion and the kick-off team to help form the club with 20+ members. The Club sponsor’s job is completed once the club charters. If you are interested in becoming a Club sponsor contact the District 60 Club Growth Director at cgd@toastmasters60.com. Training and support will be provided for interested parties.



Challenge: New Club Leads



Identify a lead (i.e. an influential contact) that results in a new club chartering by June 30, 2022 to receive a Toastmasters laptop backpack. That lead can come from a fellow Toastmaster, friend, neighbour or relative that wish to form a club at work or at a local community centre (i.e. library, church, social club). If it is to be a corporate club, it needs to have 200+ employees to be viable. If you have such a lead contact your District 60 Club Growth Director at cgd@toastmasters60.com.
Challenge: Club Mentor
Besides receiving mentor credit from Toastmasters International, District 60 will reward members who mentor a club and brings that club to Distinguished status by June 30, 2022 with a $50.00 (US dollars) gift certificate to shop at Toastmasters International store and a Toastmasters water bottle. This incentive is application to both current club mentors and for new charter club mentors.




Challenge: Club Coach
A member who is assigned to coach a club and brings that club to Distinguished status by June 30, 2022 will receive a $50.00 (US dollars) gift certificate to shop at Toastmasters International store and a Toastmasters water bottle.




Challenge: “Helping Hands” Initiative
District 60 is committed to strengthening its Clubs with the “Helping Hands” initiative This incentive is intended for two clubs to form a partnership where a club that has found success in growing its membership, creating an exciting club meeting atmosphere, and/or continually achieves the Distinguished Club Program award, will work with another club that seeks to grow membership, hold memorable meetings towards achieving Distinguished Status.
- Program will run from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022
- Qualifying clubs:
- Clubs currently with 13-16 members – add 5 new members and achieve 5 DCP points
- Clubs currently with 12 and under – add 5 new members
- Both Clubs will receive District recognition and a $50.00 (US dollars) Toastmasters International gift card when the Club receiving support achieves Distinguished Club Program status. Clubs interested in participating in this program please contact your District 60 Club Growth Director at cgd@toastmasters60.com.
Challenge: Club Membership Campaign
A club adds five new, dual or reinstated members during any of the following campaigns:
- Smedley Award Campaign: August 1 to September 30
- Talk Up Toastmasters campaign: February 1 to March 31
- Beat the clock campaign: May 1 to June 30
For each successful campaign, Toastmasters International will present each club with a ribbon for the club banner and a special discount code for 10% off club’s next order from Toastmasters International store.



Challenge: Club Membership Renewal
Clubs that renew 100% of their membership by March 1, 2022, for the April 1 to September 30, 2022 renewal period will be rewarded with a $50.00 (US dollars) gift certificate to shop at the Toastmasters International store and receive recognition in the District 60 “The Gavel” newsletter and other social media platforms.
Challenge: Open House Campaign
The open house campaign will run from October 1 to 31, 2021 and April 1 to 30, 2022. $25 (US dollars) Toastmasters International gift card will be rewarded to clubs with a membership growth of 5 or more new members during each of these periods. Please notify cgd@toastmasters60.com after each period if your club qualifies for this incentive.
Challenge: “Eight is Great”
Add eight new, dual or reinstated members between July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022
A draw will take place and one club from each division will receive a $100.00 (US dollars) Toastmasters International gift card. An additional entry per club will be entered for the draw for each additional set of 4 new, dual or reinstated member. For example, a club that has added 13 to 15 members will have 2 tickets in the draw. A club that has added 16 to 18 members will have 3 tickets in the draw, etc.
Challenge: Individual Membership Campaign
A member sponsors 5, 10 or 15 new members between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022. The member’s name and home club number must be listed as the sponsors on the new member application before it is submitted to Toastmasters International. Recognition from Toastmasters International:
- Sponsor 5 members and receive a blue pin
- Sponsor 10 members and receive a burgundy pin
- Sponsor 15 members and receive a discount code for 25 % off your next purchase from Toastmasters International store.
Challenge: “Beat the Clock” Initiative
Program Dates: May 1, 2022 – June 30, 2022
Toastmasters are taught to run meetings on time, finish speeches on time and reach membership goals on time. In that spirit, Beat the Clock is a great motivator for finishing the year on schedule—on time and with record numbers! Make it your club’s goal to earn the Beat the Clock award and encourage every member to take part. Clubs adding five new, dual or reinstated members with a join date between May 1 and June 30 receive a Beat the Clock ribbon to display on the club’s banner. Qualifying clubs also earn a special discount code for 10% off their next club order (the discount code expires six months from the date of issue and is not valid with any other offer.)
In addition, clubs will receive from District 60, a $50 (US dollars) Toastmasters International gift card for 5 new, dual or reinstated members.
Please notify cgd@toastmasters60.com by June 30 once you qualify for this incentive.
Applications and payments for members with a join date between May 1 and June 30 must be received at World Headquarters or online no later than June 30. The addition of transfer and charter members does not count toward Beat the Clock credit.
The winning clubs will be revealed online within a few weeks of the submission deadline. Winning clubs should allow up to 21 business days to receive their award.
Education Awards



Challenge: Complete Pathways Path
Members who completes Level 5 in any path by June 30, 2022 will receive a Pathways Path Proficient pin. One pin will be awarded per Toastmasters year.



Challenge: Triple Crown
Members who earn three or more educational awards between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022 will receive a Triple Crown pin. One pin per Toastmaster year.



Challenge: Distinguished Toastmaster Award (DTM)
Members who complete the requirements of the Distinguished Toastmaster Award by June 30, 2022 will receive an engraved Distinguished Toastmaster medal at the next in-person event.
Distinguished Club Awards
Challenge: Distinguished club status by April 15, 2022
Distinguished Club status awarded $50 (US dollars) gift certificate to shop at Toastmasters International store.
Select Distinguished Club status awarded $75 (US dollars) gift certificate to shop at Toastmasters International store.
President’s Distinguished Club status awarded $150 (US dollars) gift certificate to shop at Toastmasters International store.
Challenge: Club Officer Training
Round 1: Achieved by August 31, 2021



When all 7 club officers are trained between June 1 and August 31, each officer will receive a free path in Pathways!
Redemption instructions will be sent once all of the results are known.
Round 2: Achieved by February 28, 2022



When all 7 club officers are trained between November 1 and February 28, each officer will receive a free Clip-On Ring Light!

The Club Success Plan is one of the most important tools available to plan your club success. By completing a Club Success Plan, your club will track its Distinguished Club Program points to achieve the Distinguished Club Award.
Clubs will receive a Toastmasters “Table Talk” pack ideal for Table Topics.
District Leaders
Challenge: Early-Bird incentive for Area Director visits
Complete 100% of all Area Director club visits and submit all reports for Round 1 by October 15, 2021
Complete 100 % of all Area Director club visits and submit all reports for Round 2 by March 22, 2022
Receive $25 (US dollars) Toastmasters International gift certificate for each qualifying round.
Challenge: Area Director Council Meetings
Hold at least four Area council meetings between July 1 – June 30 to be eligible for the draw.
The meeting minutes from the council meetings are to be emailed to the Club Growth Directors within two weeks of the meeting.
One draw for each division. Eligible Area Director names will be placed in a draw. The winner will receive a $50 (US dollars) Toastmasters International gift certificate.
