Patricia Fripp keynotes District 60’s conference

Patricia Fripp is a Hall of Fame keynote speaker, executive speech coach, sales presentation skills and online training expert. She first joined Cable Car Toastmasters when she was 30, and was the second women ever to keynote a Toastmasters International convention. The 3,500-member National Speakers Association elected her their first woman president.  Kiplinger’s Personal Finance wrote that one of the best ways to invest in your success is to learn presentation skills from Patricia Fripp. Meetings and Conventions named her “One of the 10 Most Electrifying Speakers in North America.”

This is a roll-up-your-sleeves, virtual, interactive session where audience members have the opportunity to participate. Willing volunteers will be invited to deliver a small portion of their presentations, and Patricia Fripp will add her laser-focused mini-coaching.

You will learn specific techniques to guarantee that both you and your presentations are more effective.

You will come to appreciate the focus on word choices, the amount of specificity, emotional connection, and clarity of your message.

About the speaker: Melissa McGavick, DTM, PRA, ID, is a professional speaker and trainer. She is the owner of McGavick Interactive Training, which was founded in 2004. McGavick earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and media studies from Pennsylvania State University. In 2008, she was awarded Business Woman of the Year by the Women’s Business Network of Western Pennsylvania for her excellence and leadership in her profession. The following year, she served as president of the Board of Directors for the same organization.

A Toastmaster since 2004, McGavick’s home club is Cranberry High Noon Toastmasters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. She has held a number of high-profile leadership positions within Toastmasters and has attained the Distinguished Toastmaster designation—the highest level of educational achievement in the organization.

As a member of the Toastmasters International Board of Directors, McGavick is a “working ambassador” for the organization. She works with the Board to develop, support, and modify the policies and procedures that guide Toastmasters International in fulfilling its mission.
